Overview:
SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. is an American multinational financial technology company that sells software and software as a service to the financial services industry. For more than 25 years, their TRAC® retirement account servicing platform has helped recordkeepers drive more efficient processes, move critical yet formerly cumbersome procedures online, and implement a flexible platform for growth. The platform services 400k plans and 12m+ participants.
The Problem:
After reviewing the sponsor reporting section with the Product team, We decided that this process could be streamlined.
The Goal:
How can we make the reports section easier for the sponsor to use. This will help our business because the value of our product will be heightened.
Functional Analysis:
I analyzed the current functionality of the product. I found that the interface was hard to use for the following reasons:
Ideation:
My fellow designers and I decided to each diverge to brainstorm ideas and then converge to share options to determine what might be a good solution.
Ideas into Form:
After sketching and looking at inspiration, I wireframed a solution to bring back to the design team.
Team Recommendations:
After the Design team discussed options, we had a meeting with the Product team to get their input on our designs.
The Solution:
The Product team wanted something from each one of our designs. This was the final result:
Presentation to Clients:
The clients were so happy that we tackled the redesign of the Reports section. One of our clients said: "This is really a step up!"
